“Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in Me.” ~ John 15:4
“First, “I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world.” (Romans 1:8)
You who believe in Christ, love the Bible and rejoice in your salvation need to grow.
WHY do we grow? In order to bear FRUIT that can be shared with others!
MANY ARE LOST
We live in a complex society. Many are going in all the wrong directions. We should not imagine that there is nothing that we can do. We can be active in our faith by trusting God.
“In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.” ~ Matthew 7:12-14
When we encounter people who have very little understanding of Christianity, we should be aware that we can be of help, that our God—our Savior sees the ones who do not believe. We should not assume that skeptics are spiritually dead and do not understand. If we are polite and thoughtful, they may be open to hearing the greatness of God, the problems of humanity, the love of God, the healing that comes from Jesus Christ, and the welcome that comes from the Heavenly Father to be with him and the angels forever.
WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?
When we ask someone about his or her religion, and they reply that he or she has “their own religion”, ask them for the characteristics of their own religion, what is it they believe.
DON’T CRITICIZE
Then, simply respond with what you believe of the certainly of the truth of Christ in our lives and how it has been good for you.
KNOW WHAT TO SAY
“Always be prepared to make a defense to any one who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence;” (I Peter 3:15)
Daily Bible reading will give us insight into its truths and teach us how to better respond. It will bless us in spirit as well.
“Therefore brethren, be the more zealous to confirm your call and election, for if you do this you will never fall,” (II Peter1:10)
