What are the Promises of God? They are Ultimate Truths we can believe, hold on to and partake of their blessings.
GOD WANTS OUR BEST
God creates us. God guides us. He prepares for our good and well being.
“Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed , for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord O my Soul, and forget not all his benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy, who satisfies you with good as long as you live, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles.” Psalm 103:1-5.
“We know that in everything, God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first born among many brethren.” ~Romans 8:28-30
GOD IS ABLE
“Now to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you without blemish before the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen” ~Jude 24
“Now we know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be accountable to God. For no human being will be justified in his sight by works of the law, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the law and the prophets bear witness to it, the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, they are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, whom God put forward as an expiation through his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because of his divine forbearing he had passed over former sins; it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he justified him who has faith in Jesus.” ~Romans 3:19-26
“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.” ~Luke 21:15
GOD WANTS US TO TURN TO HIM
God wants our repentance, so that we may have favor with him. He wants us to understand his mercy and his goodness, so that we may see ourselves as members in God’s family–and able to bear witness for salvation and life in Jesus Christ.
I recommend reading Romans 3:21-31:
“Count it all joy my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4
