Bring light to your life with scripture. . . And keep it burning all year!
“Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
How can we not be concerned? No anxiety—no worry? Wow! Don’t we have problems to spare? Things don’t always go well. Where do we get the idea it is possible to live without worry?
GOD’S MESSAGE IS CLEAR
It is possible not to worry.
How? By trusting in God’s promises.
“Every word of God is Pure. He is a SHIELD unto them that put their trust in Him.” ~Proverbs 30:5
Put your trust in Jesus Christ and know that His word is pure. He keeps His promises.
YOU ARE LOVED
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Believing in Jesus Christ we have forgiveness of sins, and are enfolded into God’s family.
“For all who are led by the Spirit are sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)
“It is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” (Romans 8:16,17)
GOD HAS A PLAN
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (I Peter 2:9)
“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.”
GOD GIVES YOU A GIFT
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in every one. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” (I Corinthians 12:4-7)
GOD’S WILL IS FOR OUR GOOD
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” ~Philippians 4:19
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.” I Corinthians 2:9)
God wants your good. He provides. Ask and it will be given.
“Thou dost show me, the path of life; in thy presence there is fullness of joy, in thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27:4)
Jesus promised in Matthew 7:7: “Ask and it shall be given.”
“Ye have not because ye ask not”.
Ask for what you need. Receive it.
And take His Joy and Blessings in the New Year!
